Method of Preparation

Heat the Mawa

Crumble fresh mawa and cook on a low flame in a heavy-bottom pan.

Stir continuously to avoid browning.

Add Coconut
-
Add desiccated coconut and mix well.

Cook for 2–3 minutes till the mixture turns aromatic.

Sweetening

Add powdered sugar and stir gently.

Cook till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.

Flavoring

Add cardamom powder and mix thoroughly.

Setting the Barfi

Grease a flat tray lightly with ghee.

Transfer the mixture, spread evenly, and level with a spatula.

Garnishing

Sprinkle chopped almonds and pistachios.

Press gently and allow to set for 20–25 minutes.

Cut into equal barfi pieces and serve.
